The Green Beast has been on my mind to make for a while, he’s a funny muddle of myths and imagery as well as his own impish being.
The first of the muddle is the Norse myth of Hati and Sköll, two wolves that chase the sun across the sky. Their catching and eating it will bring about Ragnarök, a series of catastrophes leading to the end of the world. The other is the allegories of alchemy, a green lion was used to represent a chemical composition or process to bring about alchemical change, and the sun representing gold itself.
